SIBLING DISCOUNT FOR SEPARATE CLASSES
If you are registering two or more siblings for different, separate classes, enter coupon code sdc10 for every additional class. For example, Sibling #1 registers for "Chess" and Sibling #2 registers for "Yoga." The registration for Sibling #2 would require the discount code sdc10 to be entered.

If the siblings are registering for the same class, no coupon code is required.

REGISTRATION POLICY
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis. All classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment and early registration is strongly encouraged. 

LEAF Approach to Enrichments reserves the right to refuse, accept, or terminate any application, at its sole discretion, at any time either prior to or during the class schedule.

ILLNESS POLICY
Students must be fever free without the use of medication for 24 hours, as well as have not had any diarrhea or vomiting for 24 hours prior to returning to school or joining in a LEAF class.

If a student is absent from school due to illness, that student may not attend a LEAF class. Similarly, if a student leaves school early due to illness, he or she may not return to school to attend a LEAF class that day.

Animal Worlds

Our little animal enthusiasts will explore the many varied worlds where different types of animals live. Each week, children will learn about new animals by exploring their habitats and environments. Students will discover fun facts about rainforest animals, ocean animals, forest animals, desert animals, zoo animals, farm animals, and animals we can have as pets. It’s sure to be a ‘wild time’ as we explore the wonderful worlds of animals!

Creative STEM & Art

This process art class speaks to your little artist’s creativity while he or she explores STEM concepts such as crystal formation, chromatography, or forces and motions. Children are exposed to different materials and mediums as they learn to use different elements of art, including lines, colors, shapes, textures, and forms in their unique creations. Themes may include: Architecture, where students will make their plans on paper and then build a house; Planet Earth, where children will learn about our planet and make a papier mache replica of Earth; Robotics, where students will be introduced to the basic mechanics and workings of robots and then create their very own robot out of household items; and Forces and Motion, where participants will make unique “pendulum paintings” after learning about this concept. No matter the theme or project, your children will be using their creativity and imagination to create STEM-based art! Projects will be taken home upon completion.

Doctor’s Academy

In this fun, hands-on class, children will explore the human body by creating their own working models of human lungs and hearts. Our future doctors also will learn about the different parts of the brain, including where each part is located and what role each part plays. They will be introduced to how bones and muscles function, as well as what makes up our blood. Finally, as all good doctors need to know, participants will see what special tools and supplies are needed and used to diagnose and treat patients. Let your child begin his or her exploration of the field of medicine in this interactive class!

Little Actors Studio

Your young performing artists will develop their creative and critical thinking skills through the art of acting. This class offers an environment where children flourish, growing in confidence, poise, and creativity as young performing artists. The curriculum explores the elements of acting through improvisation, pantomime, storytelling, mask work, puppetry, and more. Each child’s uniqueness is celebrated as we aim to enhance the artistic and creative development of all participants!

Little Chefs Prepare Fall Foods

Our Little Chefs will prepare some delicious recipes inspired by this fall season! Your child’s taste buds will explode as they sample the scrumptious foods they will prepare over the course of these seven weeks. Sample recipes our young chefs will be introduced to include: Hidden Veggie Berry Smoothies, Rainbow Vegetable Spring Rolls, Mango Chicken Salad, Seasonal Fruit Bowls, Mexican Pinwheel Sandwiches, Apple Nachos, and Swedish Chocolate Treats. Please note, dairy is used in some of the recipes we will prepare. Also, while most of the recipes are meat-free, parents may request to substitute tofu for those few recipes which do include chicken or turkey. This is sure to be a fun and filling enrichment for any aspiring Little Chefs!

Mad Stem Scientists

Each week, children will participate in a different workshop exploring various scientific discoveries through unique themes. In Che-mystery, children will try to solve a mystery by mixing chemicals and acids. Students also will create crystal gardens and magical mud right before their very eyes. In the “Current” Events workshop, your child will take a look at the crazy world of circuits, as they route, send, stop, and shoot electricity to see what it can do and just how far it can go! For our “Fun”-damental Forces session, students will be introduced to physics through gravity, inertia, and centripetal force. Hocus Pocus! Abracadabra! The Science of Magic workshop will allow students to take a look at some awesome magic tricks and learn how they are done.  Super Structures will teach the strength of triangles, cylinders, and arches and how combinations of these shapes make for sturdy homes and skyscrapers. Your little builders will design and construct marshmallow buildings to show off at home at the end of the class. Under Pressure will allow students to take an exciting look at the science behind aerodynamics and the properties of air. Wacky Waves will teach the importance of water and how to keep our oceans clean. Students will engage in fun-filled hands-on activities as they explore some float or sink scenarios. Participants are sure to be ‘mad’ about science after all this Mad Science Fun!

YoBoo – Yoga Boot Camp

When you combine the aerobic excitement of exercise boot camp with the powerful breathing techniques of yoga, children are taken on an adventure full of fun! Children will develop body awareness as they learn skills needed to manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation, and healthy movement. By participating in YoBoo, children will build concentration, increase confidence, and develop a positive self-image. Yoboo’s interesting mix of exercises teaches healthy habits that your children will want to maintain because they are so much fun to do!
