SIBLING DISCOUNT FOR SEPARATE CLASSES
If you are registering two or more siblings for different, separate classes, enter coupon code sdc10 for every additional class. For example, Sibling #1 registers for "Chess" and Sibling #2 registers for "Yoga." The registration for Sibling #2 would require the discount code sdc10 to be entered.

If the siblings are registering for the same class, no coupon code is required.

REGISTRATION POLICY
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment and early registration is strongly encouraged. 

LEAF Approach to Enrichments reserves the right to refuse, accept, or terminate any application, at its sole discretion, at any time either prior to or during the class schedule.

ILLNESS POLICY
Students must be fever free without the use of medication for 24 hours, as well as have not had any diarrhea or vomiting for 24 hours prior to returning to school or joining in a LEAF class.

If a student is absent from school due to illness, that student may not attend a LEAF class. Similarly, if a student leaves school early due to illness, he or she may not return to school to attend a LEAF class that day.

CSI STEM Class

Let your child become a CSI detective and try to solve mysteries such as Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? Our young detectives will develop their problem solving skills as they collect and review clues for the case. They will explore forensic science using microscopes and magnifying glasses, build DNA structures, and learn  about the parts of blood and fingerprints. Let the investigation begin!

Little Engineers

Your Little Engineers will participate in fun, engaging, and hands-on activities that will introduce them to different areas of STEM as they conduct various science experiments, build robots, or create circuits. Throughout each class session, various stories, games, and songs will engage the children while they develop their STEM skills.

Science Explorers

Each week, children will explore a different science theme through stories, songs, and games. They will engage in fun experiments and create projects related to Earth Science, Physics, or Chemistry. Children will follow the scientific method as they make predictions, conduct experiments, observe results, and form conclusions. Some experiments may include making your own slime, lava lamp, bath salt, or sugar scrub. Our Science Explorers will learn the difference between wet and dry ice, study different weather conditions, and create their very own clouds, rain, or snow.

YoBoo – Yoga Boot Camp

When you combine Yoga and Boot Camp with music and stories you get YoBoo!! Children will develop body awareness as they develop skills needed to manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation, and healthy movement. By participating in YoBoo, children will build concentration, increase confidence, and develop a positive self-image. YoBoo’s interesting mix of exercises teaches healthy habits while having tons of fun!

Mad Science Workshop Fun!

Each week, children will participate in a different workshop exploring various scientific discoveries through unique themes.  In Digging for Dinosaurs, children will become assistant paleontologists on a mini dinosaur dig. Let’s Look will teach your child about the powers of observation using their eyes to find hidden pictures and by looking up close at a variety of objects with a magnifying glass. Lights On will allow children to explore light and the colors of a rainbow. Mad Mixtures will have the children exploring all kinds of chemical reactions including volcanos, magic mud, slime, and exploding milk colors! In Sea, Sand and Surf, children will learn how sand is created and will look closely at shells and sea creatures. With the Stellar Space workshop, children will learn the difference between planets and stars and how astronauts can travel and live in space. Lastly, Weeds and Seeds will teach our little learners that seeds need soil, water, sun, and air to grow, and they will make their own wacky grass heads out of soil and grass seed. Let the Mad Science Workshop Fun begin!

Karate for Little Ninjas

Does your child want to train to become a Little Ninja? Our Little Ninjas will develop their skills of concentration, perseverance, discipline, coordination, agility, control, and flexibility all while learning the sport of karate. This non-competitive sport manages stress through breathing, body awareness, and focus. Participants will be able to move up in ranks (colored belts) based on their effort and progress. Through practice, students will demonstrate how creatively they can apply their well-honed skills. Their motivation, self-confidence, and desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle is sure to grow as students learn the many elements of karate and discover all of the benefits of this time honored sport.

Cooking Around the World for Little Chefs

Your Little Chef will travel around the world preparing foods from countries such as China, Mexico, India, Morocco, Lebanon, Italy, and Switzerland. Children will embark upon a fun, cooking adventure that plants the seeds of healthy eating early on, all while expanding their taste buds as they create nutritious and delicious recipes from a variety of cultures. This hands-on class will have children integrate all five senses as they smell, touch, taste, look, and listen during their culinary adventures. Classes emphasize a variety of skills and focus on topics including: kitchen safety, following directions, measuring, nutrition, and more. All of our cooking will be cold cooking. We do not use any nuts, but dairy products will be used in some recipes, which can be supplemented, if needed.

Chess for Little Engineers

The game of chess is introduced through stories, songs, games, and art projects. Your Little Engineer  will learn the names of the pieces, how they move, and basic game rules. Children will benefit from the game of chess by having the opportunity to improve both their thinking and problem solving skills. This time honored game  has been proven to increase math and reading scores all while building your child’s love for the game.

Jr. Robotics

Join us as we acquaint your children with the wonderful world of robotics. Students will be introduced to various robotics concepts such as simple and motorized machines by building and programming robots with the LEGO® Education WeDo™ Robotics Construction Set. Participants will have fun using motors and sensors while learning basic engineering concepts which involve pulleys, belts, gears, and levels.
