Each week, children will participate in a different workshop exploring various scientific discoveries through unique themes. In Che-mystery, children will try to solve a mystery by mixing chemicals and acids. Students also will create crystal gardens and magical mud right before their very eyes. In the “Current” Events workshop, your child will take a look at the crazy world of circuits, as they route, send, stop, and shoot electricity to see what it can do and just how far it can go! For our “Fun”-damental Forces session, students will be introduced to physics through gravity, inertia, and centripetal force. Hocus Pocus! Abracadabra! The Science of Magic workshop will allow students to take a look at some awesome magic tricks and learn how they are done.  Super Structures will teach the strength of triangles, cylinders, and arches and how combinations of these shapes make for sturdy homes and skyscrapers. Your little builders will design and construct marshmallow buildings to show off at home at the end of the class. Under Pressure will allow students to take an exciting look at the science behind aerodynamics and the properties of air. Wacky Waves will teach the importance of water and how to keep our oceans clean. Students will engage in fun-filled hands-on activities as they explore some float or sink scenarios. Participants are sure to be ‘mad’ about science after all this Mad Science Fun!
